Some of you may have already read this in an email, but I just don't have loads of energy, so I'm posting it here too.
Dear friends,
Well, we did NOT make it through court. D is not officially a Yates.
I often fear that if I tell the hard parts of this adoption, that folks
might think we regret doing it, or that 'this is why you shouldn't do it".
You know, this is a TINY inconvenience when i consider the life we will have
with Daniel. If you are achey and uncomfortable and moody and barfing and
your dr puts you on bedrest, it never crosses your mind: oh, i wish i wasn't
doing this, or oh, we made a big mistake. your thought is: this sucks, but
it will be worth it when i see my baby's fingers and toes.
please continue to pray. i fear that we might miss the court closure.

Hang in there. We will keep praying!
Karen,
You are right, I certainly don't want people to think negatively about adoption. It will be wonderful when we do get to be with our children. When we consider the years we will have with our children, and remember that there may be some children who don't get to go home, this delay is just that...a delay. It is not a problem.
Also, don't lose hope! I know God will get us through court before it closes. I will be confident for the both of us.
I don't know if you ment to ut you put daniel on the blog instead of D, i didn't know if that was ok or a slip up??? We are praying for your family
Praying for you guys and baby D. Lot's of love to each person involved.
Remember there is a big known and that is GOD. He will not leave you during this time of uncertainty and we will continue to uplift you in prayer,
Amy
we are praying! WE love you and are here for you! I don't think you are putting a negative view on adoption - nothing in life is ever guaranteed- there are bumps in the road for everyone! You have been an inspiration to me - adoption has even crossed my mind thanks to you! So, keep your head up and your eyes to heaven, for our Heavenly Father has his Mighty Hand in all areas of our lives.
I think if we blog about this miracle in our lives, we are duty bound to tell the good, bad and "ugly". What a disservice to give the perception that adoption is some easy feat and that it's only filled with love, happiness and smiles. Kudos to you Karen for telling the real story. You will simply be proof positive that despite the struggles and angst, adoption truly is a great blessing and of course, worth every minute! Praying for D to be in your arms soon...Jana
Karen,
Ugh. I'm hoping for good news really soon. This too shall pass!
