pictures & updates

All taken by Michelle Sullivan. :)

As for other news, D is officially crawling everywhere. Our world is changing fast. :) I've begun coaching the other children to shut bathroom doors, make sure to pick up toys, don't leave out anything valuable, shut the door to your room, etc. D is delightful. I finally feel like we've settled in as a fam. We are over the adjustment hurdle. He sleeps like a champ. He is on a schedule. His personality is coming out more and more. He is, by far, the most courageous of my children, and is very curious and determined. He also weighs 26 lbs at the ripe age of 8 months! He is pulling himself to a standing position and therefore can reach any objects left on coffee tables or chairs or end tables. He is pulling open drawers and cabinets, pulling out items in baskets -- bring forth the baby gates & cabinet locks! I give him one month before he's walking.

Z did his first sudoku puzzle yesterday--a man after my heart. We have his first parent/teacher conference on Friday, which should be no big deal, except that I've never done one before. ;) Tonight his prayer was: "Dear Jesus, Help Barak Obama to be smart and to make good choices . . . and thank you for You. You are the favorite person in my whole entire life, and I can’t wait until I die so I can see you." Awww--just dont die soon Buddy.

R is officially 3 and her volume has increased tremendously so as to be heard over the demanding baby! ;) She is my buddy--she loves to cook, clean, do crafts, paint, color, sing, dance, and imagine with me. She can currently name every My Little Pony--from Cherry Blossom to Star Catcher to Daybreak to Twinke Twirl (her favorite). Did you happen to know there are 20 different My Little Ponies? She has taken to playing chase with D, as well as Peek-a-Boo (which is popping out from behind corners) and D LOVES it and laughs a belly jiggle over it.

And me? I spent a few hours this week brainstorming taglines. ;) fun little project for a very worthy organization.

Ah, life is rich.

20 different 'My Little Ponies'!? Is there a catalogue? I wonder how many are enough, and will my little girl love them when she comes home from Ethiopia.... what's the equivalent boy toy?

Your family photos are gorgeous!
