SOOO beautiful and SOOO classy. Will you invite us over for a big-people conversation some night?

But can you still serve chocolate chips in a plastic baseball cap in such a classy living room? That is my concern here.

  • Flying (again). LGB-SMF ✈️ Headed home to visit my mama who is recovering from surgery, and relieve my dad a bit. It's raining and I'm feeling all nostalgic-y. There is always work to do. But there is nothing like the presence of family. My mom flew down when I got my wisdom teeth out, for both csections, for another surgery, when we brought our son home from Ethiopia, when we went to Uganda and Bolivia and St Thomas. She has been so faithful by my side. I did not even know how much she loved me until I had my own babies and my heart was blown wide open. We might just sit around. I might make some meals. Maybe I will take her for a drive or we will do a puzzle. But whatever it is, I am glad to go and just "be" with her. She's the best.
